Since you have a new tank, it is most likely red hair algae.  Completely harmless. You are going to need to buy Phospads. It will get rid of your phosphates and lower nitrates/ites.  Go to my home page and click on the Big Al's logo and it will take you to their site. Search "Magnavore Pura Filtration Pad" That will help clear up you water quality, all you have to do is cut to size. It is great at controling algae!

I am going to post pictures on how to set up the filter pads for the biocube tomorrow 4/14/2009.  This should greatly improve your water quality.
