Always keep at least a 5 Gallon bucket on hand; so you can have salt water at a moments notice. 

How to prepare salt water

• Fill bucket with water
• Buy an inexpensive power filter & power head to circulate the water
• Use a phosphate pad for the filter
• Use Marine or Reef Buffer to maitain a stable pH of 8.3
  
• Add stress coat marine or Tap Water Conditioner(to declorinate the water) and stress zyme
• Add salt....wait about an hour and test with a hydrometer

         If the salinity is to high and more fresh water and if salinity is to low than add more salt.
