Hello, I am from Oxford in England and i have only been keeping a saltwater aquarium for 4 months. I do not keep corals of any kindd yet, just FOWLR.

I have a pair of common clowns, a sleeper striped goby and 5 green chromis and a hermit crab.

hello, not posted in a while, But since the lemon peel angel passing my tank has been doing really well. I have a zoa now (also some polyzoanthid on it and button polips) doing really well. My clowns have been 'practicing' breeding which is amazing to watch. I added a couple more hermits which are doing well, changing shells and generally just eating!! lol  My goby seems to have grown so much already! Unfortunatley my chromis went to 4 from 5 as he was 'bullied' by the others. they were constantly attacking each other but that has all stopped since they killed 1 off !! funny things!! I have also notices some Spionid worms and 2 amphipods but i wouldn't be suprised if there are more!

So over all things are looking up.....it was very hard after the lemon peel died as i felt responsible for his demise.  Just got to move house now!!! Not looking forward to that one!

My name is Wayne Wilson and I live in Wisconsin.  I drive a semi tractor and  trailer for a living.  I started out with a fresh water aquarium and had what my wife refers to as the dirty dozen.  I had 12 prihanas.  I got rid of them and started a salt water tank.  My tank is 150 gallons.  I have upgraded my filter system with a rena 4 and have gotten some great light which also have the moon lights in them.  I have one fish and alot of coral and other things in there.  I am going for a reef tank and believe me it is a work in progress.  I had the tank established for about a year and all of a sudden everything was dying.  I had no idea what was happening.  At the time my wife and I were driving as a team over the road from one coast to another.  We came home and everything was pretty much gone.  I found out the hard way that I needed a protein skimmer, (now mind you we had asked about that in the beginning of setting up the tank and we were told we would not need it).  Welllll let me tell you it was an aquarium shop owner who told us this.  That was one expensive mistake of listeneing to a proffesional.  I now double check everything that is told to me.  As I said my tank is a work in progress and I look forward to all the help I can get from each and everyone of you.  My newest thing that I would appreciate help with is fraging I have some large leather corals that I would like to frag and also other things.

Hey Wayne! 150 Gallons is a  beautiful size tank.  Salt water is very different from fresh water tanks.  And when getting into salt water for the first time you have to do your research first; if you have never had salt water tanks.  "At the time my wife and I were driving as a team over the road from one coast to another." Salt water tanks have to be maintained weekly, checking for chemical levels etc.  Remember do your research first otherwise it is going to cost you big buck’$ in the end. (Protein skimmer is a must.) Feel free to look around my site for coral fragging tips and if you have any questions don’t be afraid to post some questions in the forum and upload any pictures of your tank to the photo gallery section.:D

I am a retired hippie who moved from Cali to Texas. Wow...what a change! However it is a good change since the move is responsible for me picking up this little hobby.

Hey fellow reefers,

I have been keeping fish of all sorts for the last five years, I started with an 18 gallon tank from walmart and housed just about everything in this aquarium. I started with a FW community tank, then wen to african chiclids, and then branched into my first nano reef. I have my 18 gallon reef for close to a year and now have just slightly expanded to a 25gallon nano reef in which I do informational videos and progress reports as I go, check it out.

I currently have two clowns and a royal blue tang, check them all out a the above link and get knowledgable. I have a handful of inverts as well as six species of coral.....for now.
